Rachael Leung

Biography

Rachael joined Ip & Heathfield as a Senior Associate in 2025.

Her passion in family law began during her pro-bono student placement at the Family Court of Ontario in Toronto, Canada. Upon returning to Hong Kong, she gained extensive experience through serving as a Marshall to a former Principal Family Judge and internships at various family law firms.

Rachael completed her traineeship and qualified as a solicitor at a leading family law specialist firm in October 2020. She then advanced her career in the Family, Mental Capacity and Vulnerable Client practice at one of Hong Kong’s largest law firms before joining Ip & Heathfield.

Rachael advises in all aspects of family law matters (both contentious and non-contentious) including:

• Complex financial cases (such as maintenance, assets division and applications involving third party interests)
• Contentious children matters (such as custody, care and control and relocation issues)
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
• Domestic violence, injunctions, wardship, and committal proceedings

Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Rachael combines strategic insight with a client-focused approach, guiding individuals through some of the most challenging legal and personal circumstances.
